Poland Travel Guide - Visa & Passport

Visa for poland is not required forcitizens belonging to the states of the European Union and European Economic Community Organization.
Poland visa for the citizens of the following listed countries is not necessary for tourism and Business purposes. If the stay is not going to exceed more than 90 days:

Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Korea, Ecuador, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Romania, San Marino, Switzerland, USA, Uruguay
Hong Kong: holders of "British National (Overseas) Passport" and Hong Kong Special Region Administration Passports

Following are the types of Visas which are issued by Polish Consulates:-

  • Regular Visas: Regular visa to poland is issued for business and tourism purposes for one or multiple entries. The stay cannot exceed 90days and is issued for a specific time period only.
  • Transit Visas: Transit visa for poland is issued who are traveling through poland to another country. A person is allowed to stay for maximum 5 days under this visa and he must hold a valid visa for the destination country. It is valid for one, two or multiple entries.
  • Airport Transit visas : Under this visa for poland, citizens of only certain countries are allowed to spend a maximum of 2 days in Polish International transit zone of polish airport while traveling to another country.
  • Work visas: Persons intending to work in Poland must get a work visa to poland. Work visas are issued for multiple entries and valid for maximum of 1 yr. with future extensions. Polish consul issues the work visas.


Short-stay(1-90 days) : ₤26(Single Entry), ₤34(double Entry), 

₤42 (Multiple Entry)

Long-stay(more than 90 days)  

£51 (single-entry), £59 (double-entry),


£68 (multiple-entry).

Transit (1-5 days)         :

£9 (single-entry), £17(double-entry),



Work(1 yr max., multiple-entry) :

£94. Payment is non-refundable even if visa is rejected.

Poland Visa Application requirements
Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond date of arrival is required by all.
Application to: Consulate (or Consular section at Embassy);
(a) Passport (must be valid for 3 months after planned departure from Poland).
(b) Completed application form.
(c) One passport-size photo.
(d) Evidence of immigration status in country of residence, endorsed in current or
     previous passport (if applicable).
(e) Fee, payable by cash/postal order.
(f) The visa for country of destination.
(g) Transport documentation, such as a rail or aeroplane ticket.
